Hands down best place to stop and meet up with friends, go on a first date or even stop in alone. they have the best beer menu as well as amazing bar food, personally I think they have the best burger in San Diego "The Standard Burger." Nothing better than a dive bar with no frill but all the best vibes. Livewire is one of the oldest standing bars in San Diego established in 1992 and still going strong serving up the best drinks and beers from the likes of Russian River and many others as well. They serve happy hour every day from 5-7 and have unbeatable prices and even serve the limited stuff without the gimmicky uncharged drink tickets. Divey red light ambiance where you can cook your own steaks? This is the place! Serving up perfect cocktails on the side or paired with an ice cold beer, you can't go wrong here! Andy and Nanelle have a great coffee program where they work directly with farmers from different regions and give back a percentage of sales to the source.
